    THE TUDOR’S CURSE

Lily Chen catalogs dead people’s belongings for a living. Safer than connecting with the living. Until she touches a cursed Tudor ring in the British Museum vault and wakes up as Anne Boleyn’s lady-in-waiting—three days before the queen’s execution.

The problem? The ring she needs to get home is now in King Henry VIII’s possession. And she has 72 hours before Anne dies and the timeline erases her completely.

Enter Captain Nico Ricci—the king’s cynical privateer who offers a deal: he’ll help her steal the ring if she uses her “uncanny political predictions” to secure his ship payment. Simple transaction. Except Lily’s been hiding from life since her parents died, and Nico sees through every lie she tells. Somewhere between planning an impossible heist and watching Anne face death with devastating grace, they stop pretending this is just business.

When they discover the ring is a fake and the real one is with the king, Lily must get “summoned” to Henry’s private chambers. She walks into the lion’s den, plays chess with a paranoid king, and steals the ring with sleight-of-hand that would make a thief weep.

The night she escapes with the ring, they have one stolen hour before she must leave at dawn. They make love desperate and aching—this is all they get. Except Cromwell’s men surround them before she can activate the ring. Lily destroys it mid-pull, choosing to stay and die with Nico rather than live without him.

But he won’t let her. Nico cuts his own palm, merges his blood with hers on the shattered ring, and gambles everything: the curse pulls them both forward to 2024 or kills them trying.

Now Nico’s lost in a world 500 years ahead, and Lily helps him adapt—teaching smartphones and building him a new identity. When he proposes Tudor-style, she says yes. Because he crossed five centuries for her. And because Dr. Marlowe just found another cursed artifact with another soul who needs rescuing.
