Plot & Prompt packages give you a complete foundation for creating your next novel. This page explains what your purchase includes, how exclusivity works, and what you may do with the materials.

These terms apply to exclusive story packages purchased from Plot & Prompt. Any separately stated terms for other products apply to those products.

What You’re Purchasing

A Plot & Prompt package is a ready-to-write novel foundation ~ not a finished manuscript.

Your package includes a story premise, character and world codex, chapter-by-chapter outline, AI writing prompts, market-positioning information, and publishing and marketing materials.

References to a “complete” book or series package describe the scope of the planning and writing materials provided. They do not mean that completed novel manuscripts are included.

You are responsible for creating, reviewing, revising, editing, and preparing your manuscript for publication. Please review the individual product description before purchasing.

Your Publishing Rights

Once your payment is complete, you receive a worldwide, ongoing commercial license to use and adapt the purchased story materials to create, publish, promote, and sell your own books.

You may:

  • Write the manuscript yourself, use AI tools, or combine both approaches.

  • Publish under your own name or any pen name you choose.

  • Change the title, character names, setting, plot, dialogue, heat level, and other story elements.

  • Publish your resulting books in ebook, print, and audiobook formats.

  • Translate your resulting books and publish translated editions.

  • Develop sequels, prequels, and related stories from your purchased story foundation.

  • Use and adapt the included marketing copy to promote your resulting books.

  • Work with editors, cover designers, narrators, publishers, and other professionals as needed.

No attribution to Plot & Prompt is required. We do not charge royalties or claim a share of the revenue from your resulting books.

What “Exclusive” Means

One buyer. One story package. Sold once.

After you purchase an exclusive package, Plot & Prompt removes it from availability and will not sell, give away, or license that same story package to another buyer.

We will not republish that package under a different title or with superficial changes to sell it again.

Your exclusivity covers the specific story materials purchased. It does not give you exclusive ownership of general tropes, genres, themes, common settings, writing techniques, or storytelling structures.

Other packages may share broad elements ~ such as a small-town setting, an enemies-to-lovers romance, or a cozy mystery ~ but your purchased story package will not be offered to another author.

We cannot prevent unrelated third parties from independently creating stories with similar ideas or themes.

Your Manuscript and the Package Materials

Plot & Prompt does not claim ownership of the original manuscript content you create.

Your purchase grants permission to use and adapt the supplied story materials in your resulting books. It does not transfer ownership of the Plot & Prompt brand, general methods, reusable templates, or instructional resources.

Copyright protection for your resulting manuscript depends on applicable law and the nature of your creative contribution. Purchasing a package does not guarantee that every supplied element or AI-generated passage qualifies for copyright protection.

You are responsible for complying with your chosen AI tools’ terms, publishing-platform requirements, and any applicable disclosure or copyright registration rules.

What You May Not Do

You may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, give away, or redistribute the package itself, in whole or in substantial part.

  • Upload the package files to public websites, shared resource libraries, marketplaces, or file-sharing groups.

  • Sell the supplied codex, outline, prompts, or other package materials as a competing story package, template, course resource, or prompt collection.

  • Share the package with another author so they can independently publish their own version of the story.

  • Claim ownership of Plot & Prompt’s brand, general methods, reusable templates, or instructional resources.

These restrictions apply to the underlying package materials. They do not prevent you from selling, promoting, or sharing excerpts from the books you create under this license.

You may privately share relevant materials with professionals working on your book, provided they use those materials only for your project and do not redistribute them. You may also submit materials to AI tools as needed for your own writing workflow, subject to those tools’ terms and privacy settings.

No-Refund Policy

All sales of exclusive digital story packages are final.

Each package is sold to one buyer and removed from availability when purchased. Because the digital materials can be immediately accessed and retained, we cannot accept returns or restore the package’s exclusivity after delivery.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for a change of mind, a change in publishing plans, or an expectation that the package contains a finished manuscript.

Please read the product description carefully and ask any questions before purchasing.

Your Responsibility as the Author

You control the final book and its publication.

You are responsible for reviewing the manuscript for quality, consistency, accuracy, originality, and suitability for your intended readers, as well as obtaining any necessary permissions for additional material you introduce.

Plot & Prompt does not guarantee sales, income, bestseller status, retailer acceptance, or a particular result from any AI tool.

Agreement to These Terms

By purchasing an exclusive Plot & Prompt story package, you agree to the licensing terms and purchase conditions presented at checkout.
